Abaete, pronounced (ah-BYE-ah-tay), is created by Laura Poretzky. Abaete is Laura's family name which translates into person of virtue. Her collections are self-described as "French Femininity, Brazilian Sensuality, American Simplicity". Laura began Abaete in 2004 and by 2006 the collection was first seen in New York at Olympus Fashion Week. Her collection is currently being sold in higher-end department stores.
